AirAsia bares promotional fares for new GenSan-Clark, Cebu routes

AirAsia Philippines on Tuesday announced promotional fares for flights to General Santos from Clark and Cebu set to start in March.

In an advisory, AirAsia said it will start flights between General Santos and Clark, and General Santos and Cebu on March 29.

"General Santos flights will provide access to Mindanao, a beautiful region rich in culture and history. I am confident that AirAsia’s announcement of these new flights will contribute to local tourism and the economy," said AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla.

"We are committed to growing our domestic connectivity this year, and you can expect more exciting destinations to be announced later in 2020," he added.

In the same statement, AirAsia announced all-in promotional fares from Clark to General Santos -- P1,090 for BIG Loyalty members, and P1,157 for non-members.

Flights from Clark will depart at 1:40 p.m. and arrive at 3:40 p.m., while flights from General Santos will leave 4:10 p.m. and reach Clark at 6:10 p.m., three times a week.

Meanwhile, fares from Cebu to General Santos will be at P990 for members, and P1,057 for non-members.

Flights from Cebu will leave 1:45 p.m. and arrive in General Santos at 2:55 p.m., while return trips will leave General Santos at 3:25 p.m. and arrive in cebu at 4:35 p.m. daily. — Ted Cordero/RSJ, GMA News
