Gateway Mall, Ali Mall, Farmers Plaza closed amid COVID-19 threat
The management of Araneta City on Monday announced the temporary shutdown of three of its malls in Quezon City amid the threat posed by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In an advisory, Araneta City said Gateway Mall, Ali Mall and Farmers Plaza will be closed starting March 16, 2020 "until further notice."
Not covered by the shutdown are supermarkets, groceries, convenience stores, pharmacies, medical and dental clinics, restaurants with take-out and/or food delivery services, and banks and other financial institutions.
The management said this is in support of government efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, which has so far infected over 100 in the Philippines.
The management also urged the public to monitor its social media pages for updates and advisories. --KBK, GMA News
