Victory Liner suspends operations amid enhanced community quarantine
Victory Liner Inc., which services commuters from Metro Manila to northern Luzon, on Monday announced the temporary suspension of its operations given the enhanced community quarantine implemented over Luzon.
"To our dear passengers, employees, family and friends, after the declaration of the 'enhanced community quarantine of the entire Luzon,' we deemed it fit to temporarily suspend our entire operations," it said in an advisory.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier on Monday announced an "enhanced community quarantine" over the entire Luzon island to contain the spread of COVID-19.
This was a step up from the community quarantine placed over Metro Manila, preventing the entry and exit of non-essential travels to and from the National Capital Region from March 15 to April 14.
"Right now, our buses are being flagged down by authorities from various municipalities and asked to return back to our terminals and garage," said Victory Liner. — RSJ, GMA News
