PAL to mount special London flights for British travelers, residents

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines will mount two special flights from Manila to London Heathrow this week, to cater to travelers and residents of the United Kingdom seeking to return home.

In a statement, PAL said the two flights are scheduled to leave at 12 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 07, 2020, using the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a capacity of 370 seats.

"The Manila to London flights are organized by the British Embassy Manila. They are only available to British travelers, normally residents in the UK, who wish to return home," it said.

"Despite the ongoing pause in operations until April 14, PAL is operating these special one-off services to assist in flying stranded travelers home," the carrier added.

PAL said tickets may be purchased through the dedicated booking portal set up by the Embassy. — DVM, GMA News
