Hotel Sogo donates P60M worth of room accommodations to health workers during ECQ

Hotel Sogo said Wednesday it has donated P60 million worth of room accommodations for health workers during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

In a statement posted on its Facebook Page, the budget hotel chain said the P60 million worth of donation is for the use of more than 800 rooms from its 10 branches to frontline health workers from 25 hospitals in different key cities in the country.

“The donation of 800+ rooms for the use of frontliners is in cooperation with 25 hospital directors and the mayors of Manila, Caloocan, Naga, Bacoor, Pasay, Alabang, and Quezon City,” Hotel Sogo said.

“We support our health workers and frontliners who bravely sacrifice their lives and face the difficulties during this uncertain time,” it said.

The entire Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine on March 17. It was originally intended to end on April 14, but was extended to April 30 to ramp up efforts to contain the COVID-19 spread. -MDM, GMA News
