MyKuya partners with SM to allow users to hire personal shoppers
On-demand services application MyKuya has partnered with SM Supermalls to allow users to purchase goods through a personal shopper amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
In a statement, MyKuya said the partnership will allow users to buy goods currently available in SM Supermalls, with the personal shoppers -- called Kuyas and Ates -- able to skip lines through the Express Lane.
In cases where cash purchases exceed P1,000, users can transfer additional money to the personal shoppers through GCash or hand the petty cash to the partner rider before they buy the item.
"We are happy entering the partnership with SM," said MyKuya founder Shahab Shabibi.
Metro Manila, along with several "high-risk areas," has been on lockdown since March 17, with the ECQ already having been extended twice to last until May 15.
The government on Tuesday also announced that such areas will then be placed under a modified ECQ from May 16 to 31, paving the way for limited movement and transportation.
"In difficult times like this where most of us are confined to our homes and have limited means to acquire essentials, delivery and other on-demand services such as the ones provided by MyKuya are more important now than ever," said Shabibi. -MDM, GMA News
