Gasoline prices to be hiked for 4th consecutive week Tuesday; diesel and kerosene for 8th
Motorists will once again be greeted with heftier pump prices of petroleum products this week, marking the fourth straight week of hikes for gasoline, and the eighth for both diesel and kerosene.
In an advisory separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. said it they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P0.70, diesel by P0.30, and kerosene by P0.40.
Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and TOTAL Philippines Corp. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which it does they do not carry.
The changes will take effect 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30 except for Caltex which will implement the changes 12:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make announcements for the week.
Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) shows that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net decrease of P5.67 per liter for gasoline, P9.14 for diesel, and P13.39 for kerosene, as of June 23, 2020.—AOL/LDF, GMA News
