Maynilad extends bill payment period to September 30

Water concessionaire Maynilad extended the payment deadline to September 30 amid the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on livelihoods, its spokesperson said in an interview on Unang Hirit on Thursday.

“Nagkaroon po tayo ng payment extension at ito ay umabot na po hanggang September 30,” Maynilad spokesperson Zmel Grabillo said.

He said customers can pay their bills on an installment basis in any amount they can. According to him, Maynilad’s system can track these staggered payments.

“Puwede pong utay-utay. Ang totoo, kung magkano lang 'yung kakayanan ng ating kababayan habang bumabawi po sila sa kasalukuyan nating sitwasyon,” Grabillo said.

“Puwede na po nilang ibayad sa mga payment center. Puwede din po silang magbayad sa online. At ‘yun naman ay maka-capture ng aming system na unti-unti pong nababawasan ang kanilang bill,” he added.

Grabillo advised customers with mounting unsettled bills to prioritize paying the current bill, then pay the bills during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) period through installment. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
