SEAOIL upbeat on expansion plan as it opens 500th station

Independent fuel company SEAOIL said Wednesday it is on-track to meet its expansion plans for this year as it opened its 500th station.

"The opening of our 500th station is part of our goal to fuel a better future in every community and every neighborhood that we are in,” Glenn Yu, CEO of SEAOIL, said in a statement.

“This milestone brings us closer to our goal of having 600 stations nationwide by the end of this year,” Yu said.

The 500th SEAOIL station is located along Meralco Avenue in San Antonio, Pasig City.

Prior to the opening of the 500th station, SEAOIL said it also opened new stations in Quezon City, Batangas, Mindoro, Pampanga, Cabanatuan, Abra, Compostela Valley, Iloilo, Aklan, Cotabato, and Davao.

“Beating the wider business downturn resulting from the pandemic, SEAOIL has remained aggressive in growing its retail network this year,” Yu said.

In 2017, the fuel company built its biggest branch to date, the SEAOIL-CityMall Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) mega station.

In 2018, it opened its 400th station.

“With the opening of more stations, SEAOIL aims to generate local jobs, provide business for new franchise partners, and offer specialized promotions to serve the communities they operate in,“ Yu said.

SEAOIL also earlier earmarked P10 million to support the country’s efforts to fight COVID-19, offering free fuel and discounts to support frontliners from hospitals, local government units, and transport groups.—AOL, GMA News
