AirAsia to resume Manila-Zamboanga, Manila-GenSan flights this month


Budget carrier AirAsia Philippines has added flights to Zamboanga and General Santos to its available flight destinations for the month of October.

In an updated list released Wednesday, AirAsia said it will start flights between Manila and Zamboanga on October 27, scheduled twice a week every Tuesday and Saturday.

Flights will depart Manila at 7:10 a.m. and arrive in Zamboanga at 8:50 a.m., while return flights leave at 10:50 a.m. and arrive in Manila at 12:30 p.m.

AirAsia will also start flights between Manila and General Santos starting October 28, scheduled twice a week or every Wednesday and Friday.

Flights will depart Manila at 7:10 a.m. and arrive in General Santos at 9:00 a.m., while return flights leave at 10:40 a.m. and arrive in Manila at 12:30 p.m.

AirAsia Philippines resumed its services on June 5, after nearly three months of suspension due to lockdowns designed to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

AirAsia, along with other carriers Cebu Pacific and the Philippine Airlines, earlier appealed for the government to provide P8.6 billion in assistance to the airline industry given losses incurred during the period.—AOL, GMA News
