AirAsia moves resumption of services to June 5


Budget carrier AirAsia Philippines has moved the resumption of its services to June 5.

“This is to give our passengers enough time to consolidate their needed documents for a smoother travel,” Air Asia said in a statement.

AirAsia earlier announced it would resume operation on June 3 after the government decided to ease COVID-19 community quarantine restrictions in Metro Manila and several parts of the country. 

The airline said moving the schedule of resumption of service is also “based on new developments on our coordination with our partners in the government, including LGUs (local government units).”

“An updated travel advisory will be issued at the soonest time possible with details on our initial flights to Cebu and Cagayan de Oro starting June 5,” AirAsia said.
