PAL to restart Manila-Bohol flights on Nov. 22
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Thursday announced the resumption of its regular commercial flights between Manila and Panglao, Bohol following a recent announcement that the island province will be open for tourists.
In a statement, PAL said its Manila-Bohol flight will fly thrice weekly starting November 22, every Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
“PR4773 departs NAIA T2 (Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2) every Wednesday at 1 p.m. and arrives in Panglao Airport at 2:20 p.m., while PR2777 leaves NAIA T2 every Friday and Sunday at 2:40 p.m. and touches down in Panglao at 4 p.m.,” the airline said.
Flights to Manila fall on the same days, PAL said.
“PR4774 departs Panglao Airport every Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. and arrives in NAIA T2 at 4:30 p.m. while PR2778 leaves every Friday and Sunday at 4:40 p.m. and touches down in Manila at 6 p.m.,” it said.
The flag carrier said the restoration of its Panglao flights is timely in view of the reopening of Bohol to domestic tourism.
The airline said domestic tourists traveling to Bohol must register at Bohol's website tourism.bohol.gov.ph before their flight.
“Travelers must take an RT-PCR test within 72 hours before departure from Manila. Once a negative test result is secured, they can register and get their QR codes via tourism.bohol.gov.ph,” PAL said.
A confirmed booking at a Department of Health-accredited hotel in Bohol is also required.
The local government of Bohol will provide guided itineraries to travelers and will implement strict health protocols, according to PAL.
Travelers who will stay in Panglao, Bohol for more than five days will have to get another RT-PCR test from accredited service - providers stationed in the island.
“Philippine Airlines supports the government's campaign to restore and rejuvenate domestic tourism,” the airline said. —Ted Cordero/KBK, GMA News
