Gasoline prices to be hiked for 4th straight week Tuesday; diesel, kerosene for 7th


Motorists will be greeted with heftier prices of petroleum products starting Tuesday, marking the fourth consecutive week of hikes for gasoline and  seventh for both diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.75, diesel by P0.80, and kerosene by P0.80.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., Total (Philippines) Corp., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) shows that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net decrease of P2.72/liter for gasoline, P6.76 per liter for diesel, and P10.04 per liter for kerosene as of December 15, 2020.—AOL, GMA News
