Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices to be rolled back Tuesday


Oil firms on Monday announced a rollback in pump prices of petroleum products, following five consecutive weeks of increases for gasoline and four for both diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will reduce prices per liter of gasoline by P0.10, diesel by P0.35, and kerosene by P0.55.

Petro Gazz, Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, for all the firms, except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 8:01 a.m., and Caltex at 12:01 a.m. the same day. Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy, year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P6.20 per liter for gasoline, P5.70 per liter for diesel, and P5.05 per liter for kerosene as of March 02, 2021. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG/AOL, GMA News
