AirAsia announces P0.25 promo fares for BIG Members

AirAsia on Monday announced promotional fares for as low as P0.25 for its BIG Members to leisure destinations across the country, marking the carrier's lowest fares for the year.

In an advisory, AirAsia said the P0.25 promo will be available for BIG Members from Monday, March 8, until Wednesday, March 10. The travel period is from June 1, 2021 to December 15, 2021.

BIG is AirAsia’s Freedom Flyer program. Members may earn points, depending on the fare type and the amount spent, which they can redeem to book more flights.

Among the destinations included are Bacolod, Bohol, Caticlan, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Tacloban, Puerto Princesa, Zamboanga.

"As the demand for travel is increasing ahead of the summer months, AirAsia wishes to keep the momentum by providing low fares beyond the season," said AirAsia spokesperson Steve Dailisan.

"As more destinations open up to leisure travelers, we will remain vigilant in implementing our enhanced safety measures throughout their journeys," he added.

AirAsia Philippines resumed its services in June 2020, after nearly three months of suspension due to lockdowns designed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The carrier, along with Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines, earlier appealed for the government to provide P8.6 billion in assistance to the airline industry given losses incurred during the period. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
