GCash says failed transactions in recent downtime to be processed in 48 hours

GCash transactions that failed during its recent downtime will be processed in the next two days, its operator said Tuesday.

In an emailed statement, GCash—operated by Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt)—assured that no funds were affected by the service interruptions on Monday.

“Rest assured that your funds are safe with us. Meanwhile, all failed transactions will be processed within 48 hours,” the statement read.

GCash services were temporarily unavailable starting Monday afternoon, and were restored on Monday evening.

Users are recommended to restart phones before opening the mobile app again.

GCash is operated by Mynt as part of the portfolio of 917Ventures, the corporate incubator of Globe Telecom Inc.

Its services include buying and borrowing load, paying bills, booking movies, paying via QR, shopping online, and remittances, among others.

Shares in Globe Telecom are trading at P1,839.00 as of 10:04 a.m., down P1.00 or 0.05% from Monday’s finish of P1,840.00.—AOL, GMA News
