AllDay nets P95M in Q1, up 33%

Villar-led supermarkets chain AllDay Marts Inc. saw a double-digit increase in its bottom line during the first quarter of 2022.

In a statement, AllDay said it booked a core net income of P95 million in the first three months of the year, up 33% from P71 million a year earlier.

This is the company’s first operating quarter after it debuted on the Philippine Stock Exchange in November last year.

AllDay also posted a P2.293 million revenue, up 7.4% from P2.135 billion in the same quarter in 2021.

“AllDay’s business results in the opening quarter of 2022 is a display of our strong operating fundamentals across the chain,” said Manuel Villar Jr., chairman of AllDay.

“[T]his quarter showed that AllDay can capably navigate extraordinary circumstances, such as the Omicron surge early in the quarter—from January to mid-February of this year. We immediately capitalized on the footfall improvement brought about by the downgrading of the pandemic restrictions to Alert Level 1, to which we attribute our satisfactory performance for the first quarter 2022. It is a strong start to 2022, and we are confident in navigating the country’s continued recovery from the pandemic,” Villar added.

For her part, Frances Rosalie Coloma, AllDay chief executive officer, expressed optimism for the coming quarters.

“We believe that our first quarter 2022 performance is a strong start for the fiscal year, especially as we navigate the country’s recovery from the effects of nearly two years of pandemic restrictions. The first quarter saw us open AllDay Worldwide Corporate Center in Mandaluyong, a new NCR location. For the balance year, AllDay’s expansion will prioritize NCR and Tier 1 cities across the country as we grow the network to our 100 store milestone by 2026,” said Coloma.

AllDay currently has 35 stores across the country as of May 15, 2022.

AllDay’s stores are located in Bataan, Pampanga, Libis, Shaw, Taguig, Las Piñas, Molino, Kawit, Sta. Rosa, Alabang, C5 Extension, Doña Manuela-Las Piñas, Iloilo, Naga, General Trias, Tanza, Evia Lifestyle Center, Malolos, Dasmarinas, Nomo, Imus, Salawag, Silang, Starmall Annex-Las Piñas, Cabanatuan, Sta.
