Cebuana Lhuillier launches online one-stop hub for MSMEs
Non-bank financial services company Cebuana Lhuillier on Thursday launched an online one-stop shop hub aimed at helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) grow their businesses.
Cebuana Lhuillier launched the Kanegosyo Center (KNC) at an event attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in Parañaque City.
KNC is an online, one-stop system that provides access to microloans, microinsurance bundles, savings accounts, and soon microinvestment and sales systems; expertise support through a mentorship program; and assistance and guidance on government processing requirements.
Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, said that as the country emerges into a new normal in the wake of the pandemic, "now is the prime opportunity to empower Filipino MSMEs toward their fullest potential."
KNC will address issues that continue to challenge the country’s MSMEs, including access to financing, market reach, ease of doing business, and coaching, to provide the education and capacity building needed to grow their businesses, he said.
Starting entrepreneurs or those looking to expand their business can access the information or features of the KNC website here: (https://kanegosyocenter.com).
Cebuana Lhuillier said it has partnerships with the government through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for the KNC online hub.
It also has partnerships with local government units and various key organizations that are supportive of MSMEs, such as Go Negosyo, ATRAM, an independent asset management company, and ENSATCK, a super app for MSMEs.
"MSMEs are the national asset that will make the biggest impact in writing a new chapter of the Filipino success story," said Lhuillier, noting that MSMEs comprise 99.5% of Philippine businesses. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
