13th month pension from SSS to be released on Dec. 1

The Social Security System (SSS) on Friday said that they will begin distributing the 13th month pensions for members on December 1.

The distribution for the pensions will be on December 1 for pensioners with a date of contingency from 1 to 15 while the rest will be on December 4, according to SSS Deputy Spokesperson Attorney Marissa Mapalo during a public briefing,

“Kung ano yung monthly pension na natatanggap nila, ito ay equivalent ng matatanggap nila bilang 13th month pay,” said Mapalo.

(The amount they get for their monthly pension will be equivalent to their 13th month pay.)

The 13th month pay shall be received by all pensioners, including retiree pensioners and surviving pensioners, or those who accept pensions in lieu of their deceased family members.

“Systematic na yung pagrerelease namin kasi kasabay po yan ng aming December pension, so kung regularly natatanggap nila yang kanilang mga monthly pension, dapat po kasabay na 13th month pay ng kanilang December pension,” said Mapalo.

(The release is systematically done. If they regularly get their pension, then they will also get their 13th month pay together with the December pension.)
