DigiPlus nets P4.1B in 2023
Digital gaming firm DigiPlus Interactive Corp. saw its bottom line grow by nearly sixfold in 2023.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Tuesday, DigiPlus reported a net income of P4.1 billion, up 596% from P686.9 million recorded in 2022.
“The strong performance was driven by the sustained growth of its digital retail segment, boosted by the introduction of new platforms and cost efficiencies as the business continues to gain scale,” the company said.
DigiPlus' revenues soared by 306% to P27.3 billion “on higher user traffic in its flagship bingo platform BingoPlus and sportsbook ArenaPlus, lifted by the contribution of new digital offerings.”
In the fourth quarter alone, the company booked a net income of P2 billion, up 392% year-on-year, “bolstered by the full quarter impact of the introduction of new digital offerings.”
DigiPlus said it continues to invest in new technologies and product development as it aims to establish a digital entertainment ecosystem, unlocking innovative product formats for Filipinos that can be accessed anytime and anywhere.
The company said its board of directors approved the declaration of a cash dividend to all stockholders amounting to P0.18 per common share.
The cash dividends will be payable on or before April 18, 2024, to stockholders on record as of April 4, 2024. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
