PLDT partners with Saudi’s stc Group to boost int’l voice services

Teleco giant PLDT Inc., through its international unit PLDT Global, has partnered with Saudi-based stc Group to enhance its international voice services.

In a statement on Thursday, PLDT said it signed a strategic agreement with stc Group as the telco’s exclusive voice traffic aggregator “to deliver a seamless international voice service experience.”

The partnership includes the implementation of advanced technologies to mitigate common issues such as call drops and voice distortion, ultimately providing an improved communication experience. 

“A pivotal aspect of this strategic collaboration with stc Group lies in our dedication to guarantee superior call quality for international communication services, especially when Filipinos abroad reach out to their families in the Philippines,” said Albert Villa-Real, president and CEO of PLDT Global. 

PLDT said it will leverage stc Group’s 25 years of experience in voice wholesale traffic aggregation, globally recognized international business relationships, state-of-the-art facilities, and international networks spreading across Europe, Africa, and Asia.
