Cebu Pacific launches P1 promo fare for Iloilo flights

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Tuesday announced promotional one-way base fares as low as P1 for its Iloilo flights, in line with the opening of its new routes starting December.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said it will offer the P1 one-way base fare until Thursday, October 31, covering flights from Iloilo to Tagbilaran, Daraga (Legazpi), and Dumaguete from December 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.

The carrier will start daily flights between Iloilo and Tagbilaran on December 1, followed by the opening of the thrice-a-week Iloilo-Daraga (Legazpi) route on December 2, and the thrice-a-week Iloilo-Dumaguete route on December 3.

Cebu Pacific on Sunday, October 27, also relaunched its direct flights between Iloilo and Hong Kong, the only international route from the Iloilo International Airport.

The company earlier this month signed a P1.75-billion deal to fully acquire boutique airline operator AirSWIFT Transport Inc. from ALI Capital Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Land Inc., which operates flights to and from El Nido, Palawan.

It also earlier signed a P1.4-trillion aircraft purchase deal for a landmark purchase of 152 aircraft, covering 102 Airbus A321neo, and 50 A320 Family, which will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.

The company in May said it expects to close the year with 95 aircraft, which will boost its full-year 2024 seat capacity by 12% to 15% compared with 2023. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
