Maynilad appoints Christopher Jaime Lichauco as next COO
Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Wednesday announced a key change in leadership, with the appointment of Christopher Jaime Lichauco as its new chief operating officer (COO), succeeding Randolph Estrellado who is set to retire at the end of this month.
According to Maynilad, Lichauco will step in as COO effective September 1, 2025, and will concurrently serve as president and director of Amayi Water Solutions Inc., and president of Boac Water Solutions Company, both of which are subsidiaries of Maynilad.
Lichuaco brings with him 27 years in Maynilad, starting out as a project manager and later becoming a business area operations head. He was also appointed as head of the Customer Experience and Retail Operations (CXRO) Division in 2013.
He holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Lichauco will succeed Estrellado, who will retire by the end of August upon reaching retirement age, after nearly 19 years of service with the company.
Maynilad on Wednesday also announced the appointment of Rudy Baylas Jr. as the new head of CXRO, after he joined Maynilad in 2002 as part of its cadet engineer program.
The company currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, and Valenzuela.
It also services certain areas in Cavite, such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario.
Maynilad is set to push through with its initial public offering (IPO) in October, giving cornerstone investors more time to complete internal processes for them to participate.
