PAL to launch Cebu-Calbayog service on October 26, 2025

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Wednesday announced it is set to launch its newest Cebu-Calbayog route late next month in a bid to further expand its VisMin service.

In a news release, PAL said the launch of the Cebu-Calbayog service is set on October 26, 2025, with flights operating four times weekly every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The upcoming flight service will be as follows:

• PR 2668 Cebu-Calbayog – every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; departing Cebu at 07:30 a.m., arriving in Calbayog at 8:35 a.m.
• PR 2669 Calbayog-Cebu – every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; departing Calbayog at 08:55 a.m., arriving in Cebu at 10:00 a.m.

"The launch of our Cebu-Calbayog route is a milestone in our mission to empower regional gateways like Cebu," said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang. 

"This new service will provide travelers from Eastern Visayas direct access to Visayas and Mindanao, enhancing connectivity and convenience. We're investing in Cebu as a strategic hub to help drive tourism and economic growth across the region," said Ang.

PAL added it is also increasing flights between Cebu and two of the country's popular island destinations, Siargao and Busuanga (Coron), to thrice daily each. 

The flag carrier said the expanded services allow travelers to reach the islands without flying through Manila.

Moreover, PAL said it is ramping up its operations with increased frequencies to the following routes:

• Cebu-Bacolod: From 14 to 18 flights weekly
• Cebu-Butuan: From 7 to 11 flights weekly
• Cebu-Cotabato: From 2 to 3 flights weekly
• Cebu-Ozamiz: From 3 to 4 flights weekly
• Cebu-Tacloban: From 11 to 14 flights weekly

The airline said these service enhancements reflect PAL's commitment to boosting connectivity and positioning Cebu as "a true gateway to the Visayas, Mindanao, and beyond." — VDV, GMA Integrated News
