CIAC partners with Singapore-based firms for Clark Aviation Campus

CIAC partners with Singapore-based firms for Clark Aviation Campus

The Clark International Airport Corporation has inked memoranda of understanding with three Singapore-based aviation firms to share their expertise and help establish the Clark Aviation Campus, in a bid to establish Clark as the country’s aviation and logistics hub.

The MOUs were signed with Dviation Training Centre Sdn. Bhd, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Asia Ltd., and ST Engineering Urban Solutions Ltd. during the Asia-Pacific Conference and Exhibition on Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul held in Singapore in the past week.

The MOU with Dviation Training will focus on aviation training and development, the partnership with Embry-Riddle will explore joint efforts in aviation education, while that with ST Engineering will look into sustainable and intelligent infrastructure.

“Aviation in Singapore is a key component of its successful economy, and we’re fortunate to forge mutually beneficial relationships with leading institutions here,” CIAC president Joseph “Jojit” Alcazar said in an emailed statement.

“These partnerships affirm CIAC’s commitment to building strong ties with global industry leaders to advance Clark’s role as a leading aviation hub in the Philippines,” Alcazar said.

The CIAC, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), and the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) in June signed an MOU to develop the Clark Aviation Campus, as the government pushes to decentralize aviation development and maximize the potential of regional hubs.

The Clark Aviation Campus is part of the Clark Aviation Capital which includes the Clark International Airport, Clark Global City, and over 60 locators across aviation, logistics, commercial, and manufacturing sectors. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
