SSS: P18.8B released for 13th month pension of 3.7 million pensioners
The Social Security System on Tuesday announced it has released over P18 billion to credit the annual cash gifts or 13th month pension of its nearly four million pensioners.
In a news release, SSS said it released the 13th month pension in two batches to a total of 3.66 million pensioners.
The first batch was released on December 1, 2025, covering around 2.13 million pensioners with a total amount of P10.5 billion credited to their accounts.
The second batch was credited on December 4, 2025 to around 1.53 million pensioners, which amounted to P8.3 billion.
“This is our way of giving back to our pensioners who have contributed to the System during their productive years. We hope this additional benefit brings joy and relief to them and their families this Christmas,” said SSS president and CEO Robert Joseph de Claro.
SSS said that this year’s 13th month pension is higher for pensioners as of August 31, 2025 following the implementation of the Pension Reform Program starting September 2025.
Under the reform program, retirement and disability pensioners received a 10% increase, while survivorship pensioners received a 5% increase, ensuring greater financial security for beneficiaries.
The pension fund said the 13th month pension is automatically credited to the accounts of all SSS pensioners receiving retirement, disability, and survivorship pensions.
