According to Luisito Santos’ report on Super Radyo dzBB, the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Unit declared that the aircraft in question was negative for any type of explosive.
In a statement, PAL confirmed that its flight PR 300 bound for Hong Kong was temporarily held following a “security concern.”
“In accordance with established security protocols and in coordination with relevant authorities, the aircraft was thoroughly inspected and subsequently cleared for departure,” the flag carrier said.
PAL said its teams were assisting passengers and preparing the flight for departure.
“We thank our passengers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the security procedures. The safety and security of our passengers and crew remain Philippine Airlines’ highest priority,” it said. —RF, GMA News
