Filipinos abroad can now send Jollibee meals to their families at home
MANILA, Philippines - Banco de Oro, the Philippinesâ second-largest lender in terms of assets, has partnered with Jollibee, the countryâs leading fastfood company, to allow overseas Filipino workers to send meals to their families in the Philippines. In a statement, BDO said the move âaims to preserve strong ties between Filipinos overseas and their families in the Philippines" through the âJollibee Langhap Sarap Padala." With more and more Filipinos toiling in other countries to be able to provide a better life for their loved ones, its latest offering is seen to break the barrier of distance by preserving family tradition. Under the scheme, OFWs will be allowed to send Jollibee meals through its delivery hotline in Manila 8-7000 to their families in the Philippines instead of cash. âA remitter can go to any BDO subsidiary office or tie-up in Europe, Asia, Middle East, United States and Canada, choose from a variety of meal and party packages and Jollibee shall deliver them right at the doorstep of their beneficiaries in the Philippines," BDO said. Jollibee Langhap Sarap Padala is currently being offered for delivery to beneficiaries living in Metro Manila, greater Manila area, and soon all over the Philippines. - Cheryl M. Arcibal, GMANews.TV
