PHOTO GALLERY: New-look NAIA Terminal 1

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abi Valte posted photos of Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Tuesday to showcase apparent improvements a little more than a month after renovations began.

NAIA started to undergo the P1.299-billion renovations and system upgrades on January 30, after an American website labeled the international gateway as one of the worst in the world last year. The 32-year-old airport received the same review by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports in 2011, and was listed as the worst in Asia in 2013.

The passenger areas is meant to be fully rehabilitated by the end of this month, non-passenger areas by May.
