BOC sets up one-stop-shop at NAIA to fast-track importation of goods, PPEs
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) said Tuesday it has organized a one-stop-shop (OSS) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to attend to concerns on importations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other goods.
The OSS aims to assist stakeholders by expediting the release of imported relief goods, articles, equipment, and medical supplies intended as donations, and attend to all inquiries and concerns related to the importation of PPEs and emergency goods, according to the BOC.
“The OSS will also be responsible in coordinating with other government agencies in processing donated relief goods as well as medical supplies,” the Customs said in a statement.
The BOC said the initiative is in line with Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero’s directive to expedite the release of medical and PPE shipments that will be used to contain the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“For inquiries and concerns, stakeholders may visit the One-Stop-Shop located at NAIA Customhouse building or you may directly contact BOC NAIA Feedback Team at 0932-8443390 or 09661473166 or email us at bocnaiafeedback@gmail.com,” it said. -MDM, GMA News
