Microsoft Philippines urging SMEs to compete using enhanced IT infra
Microsoft Philippines is urging small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their information technology infrastructure to survive stiff competition and become globally competitive.
Bernadette Nacario, Microsoft Philippines small and mid-market solutions and partners director, said small or large businesses need the right set of tools in their day-to-day operations.
“With the right software, businesses can drastically improve their operations and productivity. Microsoft has always aimed to empower startups, small and medium businesses through our cutting-edge technologies,” said Nacario.
Nacario said Microsoft is ready to share and help SMEs with the premier technologies it can provide.
She urged SMEs to take part in Microsoft's "Transform Your Business Campaign," which offers the "Upgrade My Business" promo that will allow SMEs to have access to Microsoft's latest products for free.
Under the promo, which is extended until June 15, interested SME participants can visit and register at www.itworks.ph to complete all requested information.
Participants can choose between uploading a one- to two-minute video or sending a one-page essay that includes the company name, nature of business, and the reason why the company is ready to take its business to the next level.
Winning entries will receive Microsoft’s latest products such as Small Business Server Essentials, Windows 7 and Office 2010, and office makeover package worth P40,000.
The extension and addition of another method to join the contest is in line with Microsoft’s campaign to boost the growth of SMEs in the country by encouraging local businesses to create and enhance their IT infrastructure to enable innovation and growth. —VS, GMA News
