NGCP: Power line trip causes brownout in parts of Batangas

A tripped power line in Batangas has caused a power interruption in parts of the province, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said Wednesday.

In an advisory, the NGCP cited initial information indicating the Calaca-Taal 69-kilovolt line tripped at about 10:22 a.m.

The NGCP said this affected power transmission services to parts of Batangas Electric Cooperative 1 (BATELEC 1).

It did not immediately give a timetable on when power may resume, but said it is working to restore power services soonest. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
