NGCP: Power interruption in parts of Bataan Thursday

Some parts of Bataan may experience a power interruption on Thursday due to a scheduled shutdown of some transmission facilities of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines.

The NGCP said the shutdown will affect the Peninsula Electric Cooperative Inc. (Penelco) from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

Expected to be affected by the shutdown is Dinalupihan town in Bataan, it said.

NGCP said Penelco had requested to replace rotten poles and to give way to a road-widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways along Hermosa-Dinalupihan 69-kV line.

"Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption," it said. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
