NGCP: Power interruption in parts of Leyte on Saturday

Parts of Leyte province may be without power this coming Saturday for maintenance purposes, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said Wednesday.

In an advisory, the NGCP said the power interruption will affect the entire Leyte Electric Cooperative II franchise from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The NGCP said this was to facilitate the maintenance on the 50-MVA power transformer at Babatngon Substation and relocation of a structure along the 69kV Palo-Tacloban line.  — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
