NGCP: 8-hour power interruptions in parts of Ilocos Sur on Dec. 10, 11

Parts of Ilocos Sur may experience power interruptions lasting up to eight hours on Wednesday and Thursday, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said Monday.

 

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the NGCP said the power outage may affect the Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative (ISECO)'s Sto. Domingo Substation.

 

The outage from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. may affect San Ildefonso, Sto Domingo, Magsingal, San Juan, Cabugao, Sinait and parts of Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

 

For Thursday, another brownout from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. may stem from work on the Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative (ISECO)'s Narvacan Substation.

 

Affected areas include Sta. Maria, Narvacan, Burgos, Nagbukkel and Santa, Ilocos Sur.

 

The NGCP said the brownouts were to accommodate a request of ISECO for the technical assistance in the testing and commissioning of their substation equipment.
