MIAA: 6 flights canceled on Jan. 1 due to bad weather

At least six flights were canceled on Thursday, Jan. 1 due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority said.

 

According to a post on its Facebook account, MIAA said the affected flights as of 12 p.m. belonged to Cebu Pacific and PAL Express.

PAGASA said a low-pressure area, formerly Tropical Storm Seniang, may bring rain to southern Palawan.

 

According to a rainfall advisory, light rains are expected in Metro Manila, Bulacan and Nueva Ecija.

 

Light to occasional moderate rains are expected in portions of Basilan (Maluso), Lanao del Sur (PoloDitsaan) and nearby areas, portions of Zamboanga City (Baluno), Bukidnon, Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental (Banay-banay), North Cotabato (President Roxas), and Agusan del Sur. —Kathryn Mae P.
