LTFRB yet to process TNC registration of Uber’s partner cars
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has refused to process the registration of Uber's partner cars, GMA News TV's "NewsTV Live" reported on Monday.
The online-based transportation service provider must register first as a transportation network company before its partner cars could seek accreditation from the LTFRB, according to the report.
Meanwhile, GrabCar has finsihed registering as a transportation network company. The car-booking service will now only have to process the accreditation papers of its partner cars.
LTFRB has set up one-stop shop for transportation network vehicle service registration. The franchising board will start apprehending unregistered partner cars of Uber, GrabCar and other service providers on August 21. -Keith Richard D. Mariano/NB, GMA News
