The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc. (PSE) on Monday opened a unified trading floor in its new headquarters in Bonifacio Global City.

"For the first time, traders from the old Manila Stock Exchange and the old Makati Stock Exchange now share one trading floor," PSE chairman Jose Pardo said during the bell-ringing program.

"What better place to witness this unification and to pursue our aspirations to become a world-class exchange than here at the world-class Bonifacio Global City, one of the most modern and progressive places in the country," he added.

The PSE Tower stands on the corner of 5th Street and 28th Avenue in BGC, and real-time stock prices and market data are displayed on a ticker board on its facade.

The building will also house a museum which will feature mementos which will showcase the history of the PSE, as well as its predecessor bourses. — BM, GMA News
