Cebu Pacific to boost number of flights at Clark airport by 75%

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific said Wednesday it is boosting flight frequencies to and from Clark International Airport by 75 percent this year.

The airline earlier announced it would add daily flights between Clark and Cebu starting October 28.

This is on top of two new routes—between its Clark and Davao hubs as well as Clark and Tagbilaran in Bohol, starting November 9.

Apart from domestic routes, Cebu Pacific said it will also increase the number of flights between Clark and Macau from eight times weekly to 14 times a week.

“The new routes and additional frequencies will bring the total number of Cebu Pacific flights in and out of Clark to 3,711 by end-2018, representing 620,540 seats,” it said.

It will fly once daily from Clark to Macau at 9:25 p.m., with the return flight departing from Macau International Airport at 12:15 a.m. the next day.

Direct flights from Clark to Singapore and Hong Kong will start on October 28, while direct flights to Caticlan will resume also on October 28.

“We are committed to being a partner in the over-all economic development of the Clark area through the expansion of our route network,” JR Mantaring, vice president for Corporate Affairs of Cebu Pacific, said.
