Megawide bags P10-B Mandani Bay Quay project

Megawide Construction Corp. on Wednesday said it bagged the engineering, procurement, and construction contract for the P10.1-billion Mandani Bay Quay Phase 2 project.

In a regulatory filing submitted by Megawide assistant corporate secretary Jennifer Lee, the company said the project is envisioned to be the premier waterfront development in Mandaue City in Cebu.

Mandani is a development by HTLand Inc., a joint venture company of Hongkong Land and Taft Properties.

“With this large-scale, mixed-use development, we are solidifying Megawide’s engineering footprint in Cebu,” said Megawide chairman and CEO Edgar Saavedra.

The project involves the construction of a 328,000 square meter floor area which covers three 40-story towers, a 30-story office building, an amenities floor, two commercial levels and four floors of podium parking.

Megawide said it has now exceeded its target of P24 billion in new contracts this year.

“It is the largest contract for our construction segment that we have booked so far this year,” Saavedra said. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
