JG Summit launches multimedia gaming facility at DLSU

De La Salle University (DLSU) has officially launched the John Gokongwei, Jr. Innovation Center (JGIC), a four-storey facility in its Laguna campus which aims to be a major hub of multimedia gaming revolution and interactive entertainment.
In an emailed statement, JG Summit Holdings Inc. said the facility, named after DLSU MBA alumnus John Gokongwei Jr., currently houses the Philippine studio of international gaming giant Ubisoft.
As part of its partnership with Ubisoft, DLSU currently conducts joint curriculum development, collaboration in teaching and research, and industry-oriented on-the-job training with the international firm.
"JGIC is part of the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation's support for DLSU in recognition of the importance of collaborating with leading academic institutions to sustain quality education," said JG Summit.
In 2011, DLSU's College of Engineering was renamed Gokongwei College of Engineering,'following an endowment from GBF intended for student scholarships, faculty development, research, and infrastructure building. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
