LandBank vows continued release of CCT grants
Beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) will continue to receive grants as scheduled through their cash cards, the Land Bank of the Philippines said Tuesday.
In a statement, the LandBank said a total of 2,528,112 CCT beneficiaries nationwide will receive cash grants on March 24, 26, and 28, 2020.
"LandBank Cash Cards may be used for cashless purchases of groceries and medicines in supermarkets and drugstores through the point-of-sale (POS) machines at the cashier or check-out counters," it said.
Under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, cash transfers are given to poor households provided that their children remain in school, visit health centers, and attend family development sessions.
"Also, in line with safety and health measures being adopted by the Bank, clients are encouraged to use LandBank's ATMs and electronic banking channels which may be accessed 24/7, anytime, anywhere, instead of going to its branches," said LandBank.
From 12 a.m. on March 17, the entirety of Luzon was placed on enhanced community quarantine until April 13, 2020, restricting travel within the region in efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. --Ted Cordero/KBK, GMA News
