BIR extends tax filing, payment anew until May 30
All tax-related deadlines imposed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) have been extended further to May 30, following the extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon.
According to BIR Deputy Commissioner Arnel Guballa, the extension covers filing, submission, and payment related to tax concerns.
This comes as the government ordered the extension of the ECQ placed over Luzon until April 30. It was originally scheduled to be a month-long lockdown -- from March 17 to April 13 .
The BIR earlier this month announced the extension for the filing of ITR until May 15, heeding requests to delay the collection given the ECQ. --KBK, GMA News
