Manila Water launches SMS bill inquiry program
Customers of east zone concessionaire Manila Water Co. will now be able to check their water bills through text messaging, as the company launched an SMS bill inquiry program.
In a statement, Manila Water said customers will send the last eight digits of their contract account number to 225600 through the following format: MW<space>BILL<space>CAN<space>last eight digits of contract account number.
"The sender will then receive information on outstanding balance and a link to a list of channels and facilities through which customers can settle payment without leaving the comfort of their homes," said Manila Water.
"Customers may also receive a reply informing them of overpayment or of no outstanding balance, when applicable," it added.
President Rodrigo Duterte last week extended until May 15 the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other high-risk areas such as Benguet, Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Albay, and Catanduanes.
