21,000 jobs to be offered in DOLE's online jobs fair this week


Over 21,000 jobs, both local and overseas, will be offered in an online Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) jobs fair later this week.

According to the DOLE, the job fair will include vacancies from 600 domestic companies as well as 15 licensed recruitment agencies connected with Bahrain, the Falkland Islands, Germany, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Japan, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Micronesia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Palau, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, and Turks and Caicos.

Most of the jobs are for factory workers, nurses, nursing aides, care workers, engineers, CAD operators, telecommunications rigging technicians, maintenance technicians, carpenters, foremen, laborers, and building cleaning workers.

Also to be offered are vacancies for supervisors, physical fitness coaches, cake decorators, cooks, food servers, restaurant workers, waiters, waitresses, counter service staff, and service staff.

Dubbed as the Balik-trabaho e-jobs and online jobs fair, the program is mounted by the Bureau of Local Employment and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and will be held on Thursday and Friday, December 10 and 11, 2020, coinciding with the DOLE's anniversary on December 08, 2020.

Job seekers are advised to be ready with the digital copies of their resume or curriculum vitae and other application requirements such as a certificate of employment for those formerly employed, diploma, and transcript of records.

Applicants may visit the POEA website to access the job fair.

Job-seekers should log-in their credentials via e-registration, and recommended jobs will be matched to their preference.
