Another round of fuel price rollback seen next week


Motorists can expect another round of cuts in the pump prices of petroleum products in the coming week, according to a forecast by Unioil Petroleum Philippines.

In its fuel price forecast for August 17 to 23 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel should roll back by P0.20.

Gasoline prices, meanwhile, may go down by P0.30 per liter.

Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday to be implemented on the following day.

Effective August 10,  fuel firms implemented a price cuts for gasoline by P0.65 to P0.80 per liter, and P0.70 for diesel.

The price per liter of gasoline ranges from P46.75 to P61.60 and diesel prices range between P37.65 and P47.35 per liter.

Year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P13.25 per liter for gasoline, and P10.40 for diesel. —Ted Cordero/LBG, GMA News
