Dangwa flower prices more than double ahead of Valentine’s Day
Flower prices at the Dangwa flower market in Manila have already more than doubled with over a week before Valentine’s Day.
Vendors at the market said prices have been hiked due to high charges being passed on by suppliers, as reported on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday.
A bouquet of red roses now costs P1,300 versus the previous price range of P500 to P600, while a dozen of red roses costs P1,000 from the P300 to P400 previously.
Increases have also been reported in other varieties such as pink roses which now cost P900 per bouquet, up from P300 to P400 earlier. Sunflower prices were also hiked at P600 to P700 per bouquet from P500 previously.
