PCCI on Marcos admin’s first 100 days: Quite positive
The business community on Wednesday gave a positive assessment of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration after its first 100 days in office.
“The first 100 days of the administration have been quite positive,” Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry president George Barcelon said at a press conference in Manila.
Barcelon cited Marcos’ efforts in getting the country "on the radar” of the international community.
In terms of the business sector’s confidence in the Marcos administration, Barcelon gave a score of eight out of 10.
“From the point of confidence of the business sector, the confidence is probably eight. The administration would be able to handle some pressing issues,” he said.
Last Saturday, Marcos touted his administration’s programs on health, livelihood, and peace in the first 100 days.
He said his administration has laid out a “strong foundation” for the country’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the period, Marcos also “upheld his ‘friend to all, enemy to none’ stance and strengthened his ties with heads of state in the ASEAN and international community to ensure the security and development of the country,” the Office of the Press Secretary added.
