Software developers followed them with a wage rate averaging P70,595 per month and mathematicians and actuaries at P69,654.

Time-rated workers on a full-time basis are paid on the basis of an hour, day, or month and work at jobs with hours of work equal to or more than those considered normal or regular to the establishment.

Meanwhile, the survey also showed the average monthly wage rate of time-rated workers on a full-time basis in the Philippines last year was PhP 18,423.

“This indicates an 11.7 percent increase from the average monthly wage rate of these workers in 2020 at PhP 16,486 and a 1.7 percent increment from their average monthly wage rate in 2018 at PhP 18,108,” it added.

The OWS is a nationwide survey of establishments that employ 20 or more workers. It is conducted every two years with the main objective of generating statistics for wage and salary administration and wage determination in collective bargaining. —NB, GMA Integrated News
