Jeffrey Dy’s tenure as DICT undersecretary ends
Department of Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary for Cybersecurity Jeffrey Ian Dy said Thursday that his tenure with the DICT has already expired.
GMA News Online obtained a copy of the March 31, 2025 document indicating that Dy's tenure as undersecretary of DICT has expired, effective immediately.
Sought for confirmation, Dy said, ''That is correct.''
The said document was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and addressed to DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda, who replaced Ivan John Uy.
Dy, however, said he does not know how his tenure had expired since he is holding one of the plantilla positions.
''Perhaps it is the trust and confidence in me, of the appointing authority that has expired. Not my tenure,'' Dy said.
''I know in my conscience I served this government, and the Filipino people very well,'' he added.
Dy said he intends to go back to the private sector.
GMA News Online has reached the Office of the Executive Secretary for comment on the matter but it has yet to reply as of posting time. — BM, GMA Integrated News
